Samba Bamba Percussion Workshop

"“I enjoy group lessons. I can learn from the mistakes of others”. (Pupil, A Common Approach 2002).

Samba Bamba

Samba Bamba is a percussion based workshop whose aim is to introduce and raise awareness of World Music and improve the student in all of the areas outlined below.

We do this by using the voice, along with walking and clapping exercises before introducing Samba percussion instruments culminating in a class rendition of a simplified version of Samba Batucada one style of Samba. We supply all instruments.

I have received both a positive and encouraging response from pupils and staff of the participating schools resulting in a successful and enjoyable day of music, fun and inspiration for everyone concerned.
